How to Use the Extension

1. Creating New Customers Using a CVR Number

  • Navigate to the Customers module in Dynamics 365.
  • Select Create from CVR.
  • Enter the CVR number of the desired company.
  • The extension will retrieve and populate the company’s name, address, industry classification, and other relevant details.
  • Review the information and click Create to add the new customer record to Dynamics 365.

2. Retrieving Company Information

  • Open an existing customer record in Dynamics 365.
  • Click Get CVR Information.
  • Enter the customer’s CVR number or select it from the existing field.
  • The extension will fetch the latest company data from the CVR Register and display it for review.
  • Update the existing customer record with the retrieved information if discrepancies are found.

3. Validating and Updating Customer Data

  • Navigate to the Data Validation section within the extension.
  • Select the customer records you wish to validate.
  • Click Validate with CVR to compare existing records with the official data from the CVR Register.
  • Review discrepancies and update records as needed to ensure data accuracy.

Troubleshooting and Support

  • Connection Issues with CVR Register: Verify that your API key is entered correctly and that your subscription to the CVR Register service is active. Also, ensure that your network connection allows communication with the CVR API.
  • Outdated Data: If the retrieved data seems outdated, ensure the CVR number is correct and verify that the CVR Register service is up to date.
  • Performance Slowdowns: If data retrieval takes longer than expected, check your internet connection and contact support if the problem persists. It could be related to CVR Register API response times.
